November 2025: Invitations for the scientific survey are being sent to randomly selected households. Three focus group meetings are being conducted, and input for for interactive map and engage page are being promoted to encourage participation. The planning team is beginning to draft the rough administrative draft that will be used for budgeting purposed for the Parks and Recreation Department in the new year, which will be refined and developed into a Draft Parks and Recreation Master Plan to be shared later in the new year with city leaders and the community. 

September/October 2025: The planning team is continuing to visit parks and recreation facilities as part of the existing conditions and needs assessment, conduct the needs assessment and analysis, and work with staff to development the community survey.

August 20, 2025: The planning team hosted Steering Committee Meeting #1.

August 2025: The planning team is conducting a conditions assessment of existing city parks and facilities and working with city staff to develop the community survey. 

August 6, 2025: The planning team met with the city staff to kick-off the project, coordinate the planning process, and tour city parks.
