January-March 2026: The planning team is working with city staff to develop the Draft Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
December 2025: The scientific survey will close on December 11th and Y2 Analytics will begin to process data and analyze the results. The rough administrative draft is under way and will be shared with staff mid-month. The Steering Committee will meet early in the new year to review survey results and the findings of the preliminary administrative draft. The preliminary administrative draft will be refined and developed into a Draft Parks and Recreation Master Plan in the new year to be shared with city leaders and the community.
November 2025: Invitations for the scientific survey are being sent to randomly selected households. Three focus group meetings were conducted, and input for for interactive map and engage page were promoted to encourage participation. The planning team is beginning to develop a preliminary administrative draft that will be used for budgeting purposed for the Parks and Recreation Department in the new year.
September/October 2025: The planning team is continuing to visit parks and recreation facilities as part of the existing conditions and needs assessment, conduct the needs assessment and analysis, and work with staff to development the community survey.
